Alleviating the burden of hand washing clothes.
One wash at a time.
The Problem
Approximately 60% of the global population hand washes clothes, a burden that’s predominantly placed on women and girls.
Hand washing clothes takes time; a lot of it. And it’s time that could be used for other activities - from going to school, earning an income, looking after family, or just resting.
Hand washing clothes presents significant burdens across various contexts, impacting individuals' time, health, economic status, agency and, within humanitarian contexts - dignity.
Our Solution
Meet the Divya, the world’s first flat-packable Washing Machine. A manual, off-the-grid washer that helps save up to 50% of water and 75% of the time compared to handwashing clothes.
